Our open house this evening was met with some limited success. Three young ladies signed up for Rainbow Girls and 2 for DeMolay. We will need three more to begin a DeMolay Chapter in Venango County. Please reach out to any young men who would benefit, from joining. When these two young men have been investigated, the State Officer will come to the Oil City Lodge to confrere the degree.

From Masonic Families of the Allegheny Valley
New and exciting events are coming in the next year. Starting with the Grand Lodge One Day Class on September 23. We currently have 7 candidates who will be going and we need one Mentor to be with each candidate. Additional Mentors to help with other lodge candidates as well, so any one who can come with us, please contact me. Will set up a training class to go over the little you will need to know. We have been approved for a One Day Class (ODC) in May of 2018. There will not be a Grand Lodge One Day Class next year. The new Grand Master to be installed in December, heard of some of the new things we did in our ODC and added a few more that we must do in 2018. These will be discussed later. I would like to change the form of our Family Night as well. Going to need some suggestions for this. In September, we will meet at "Double Play" restaurant for supper of your choice. Followed by a trip to Seneca Lanes for some Bowling. Please contact me with ideas for following months.

On Saturday, September 23rd there will be a one-day class in New Castle consistory. We need to supply at least seven mentors for the seven new candidates from our lodge. Additional mentors will be needed for candidates from other lodges. Degrees will be conferred from 8 a.m. until noon. If you are willing to help us with this project please let me know. I will schedule some time between now and then to practice what you need to know which is not much.
