Venango County Sheriff Eric Foy
will host a public safety program dealing with concealed carry rights at
Petrolia Lodge 363 in Oil City from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The program looks to inform residents about the rights and restrictions that come with a concealed carry permit.
The sheriff's address will focus
on guidelines and procedures for obtaining a concealed carry permit and
will also touch on firearm safety, law enforcement encounters and issues
surround the use of deadly force, a press release from the Pennsylvania
Masons said.
The event is open to the public and the release notes that weapons will not be permitted in the lodge.
