From Masonic Families of the Allegheny Valley

Following is a collection of IDEA’s to improve our fraternity outside of the Lodge room. There are two thoughts here. First, how can we improve our brotherhood through wholesome events including family and friends and second, what can we do to help our community. Should you have any additional ideas, please send them to me. Soon we will begin to trim down the list and attempt to come up with a plan. Second monthly meeting, different day, different time, possibly at Fisher/Cubbon building. o For members who have work schedule issues. 2. Call older members who do not attend 3-4 times a year to check on. o Invite to lodge o Offer ride o Consider day lodge occasionally, older members can’t drive at night. 3. Cigar/adult beverage Club – location? 4. Fire arm training classes at Fisher/Cubbon building. 5. Rifle range at Fisher/Cubbon building. 6. Car/auto? classes, swap meet at Fisher/Cubbon building. 7. School Bullying o Teachers & principle just sitting in class room occasionally o Adults observing? (Us?) o Ladies involved to help girls (Eastern Star, Rainbow). o Online bullying??? o Need retired teacher input. 8. Chips Program (Child Identification Program) 9. Widows invited (Widow recognition program) o Who are they o How do we contact them. 10. Improved Choir Practice. 11. Christmas – Help of for children??? Giving tree at mall. Santa? 12. House hold Training for students – check book, changing a tire, sow on a button. 13. Drugs – how can we help that will actually do any good? 14. Young people – auto maintenance – repair, rebuild. Junker fixed up to be sold. 15. Sell hotdog for human society. Dogs for dogs. 16. Soup fest – chili cook off for charity. 17. Masonic Easter Egg hunt open to community. 18. Murder mystery dinner for adults. 19. Benezette elk trip 20. Clay pigeon shoot or gulf outing. 21. Sea Wolves game 22. Casino or host a casino night with adults 23. Auction 24. Meat raffle (need small games of chance license) 25. Do something for MS. 26. Comedy night at lodge or somewhere 27. Movie night. 28. Oil City school pool family night. Safety, training, etc. 29. Oil City School planetarium. 30. Kayak from Kibby’s Island to President 31. Transportation , volunteers o Medical o Seniors o vets 32. Heating fire wood for members. 33. Masonic connection to other orgs., Community Service, vets. 34. First responder’s dinner prepped by Masons. o Maybe at Fisher/Cubbon o Grill 35. Keith Bromley party bus. o Olgelvee (SP?) o Benezette Elk o ? 36. After school program, life skills, repairs, etc., bike repair 37.
